Juggling Act

Like most moms, on a normal day I am juggling multiple balls in the air, just waiting for one of them to drop. The items that are usually in my juggling act are work, kids, wife, friend, housekeeper, cook and banker. I have accepted that fact that one or two or five of these will get dropped every day. There are just not enough hours in the day to fill all the rolls and complete all the task.

Then there comes that one day, where everything is perfectly balanced and somehow you were able to keep all the balls in the air. Don’t get me wrong, this is a rare phenomenon. No one knows when it will come or how it happens. On this day it feels as if there are enough hours in the day to have coffee with your girlfriend, conquer that work project, pick your kids up from school, cook a nice dinner, straighten up the house, play a board game as a family and snuggle on the couch with your husband. I know what you’re thinking, that sounds impossible. On this one magical day, nothing is impossible.

When that day comes you will think, this is the day she was talking about. Even though this day may only come once in a while, I wish more days like this for all moms. This is the day that renews you as a woman, it’s the day that you think, “Maybe I CAN do this.”
